Does Acupuncture Work?

This is one of the most common questions about acupuncture.

Acupuncture does work. The National Institute of Health (NIH), The World Health Organization (WHO), Medical Doctors and many large insurance companies recognize the benefits of acupuncture.

At this point the question is no longer Does acupuncture work? and curious people, such as yourself, as well as modern science are now asking 'How does acupuncture work?'.

Acupuncture, despite over 3000 years of history, has only been scientifically researched for about 50 years or so and, as a result, there is limited scientific data available (this is rapidly changing now though) There are various theories of how it works and no single scientific explanation has been able to explain it fully.

Based on what I have observed in school and in private practice I can answer the question- Does acupuncture work with a resounding yes and that it works quite well (there are exceptions of course as no one medicine is a cure-all). No one is more skeptical than me when it comes to new health treatment modalities. I won't learn/utilize any modality that is not proven. Simple as that. If I was willing to devote my life to the study and practice of acupuncture, I can assure you it works.

If you have specific questions and are searching for a practitioner to treat you why not give me a call and we can discuss my experience with conditions similar to yours.
